WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE WORD OF GOD
We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God, is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit, inerrant, infallible
and authoritative.
THE TRINITY
We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. He hears and answers prayer,
and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
THE SON, JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is both true God and true man, having been conceived in the flesh by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He was resurrected according to the Scriptures, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father as our advocate.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to
glorify the Lord Jesus Christ while also convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to indwell,
guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living, service and ministry.
HUMANITY
We believe God created humans in His own image, but man chose to sin against God, resulting in depravity and
death.
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, by grace, made available to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
apart from any human merit, works or ritual. Further, we believe that it is the privilege of all who are born again
to be assured of their eternal salvation on the authority of the Word of God.
THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is composed of all believers, who are responsible to guard the spirit of unity in the body.
We believe that the Lord left two ordinances for the Church – baptism by immersion in water after the fact of salvation, and the Lord’s Supper. Believer’s baptism is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ. The Lord’s supper is a memorial service, showing in a sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. All, and only, true believers should participate in these ordinances.
CHRIST'S RETURN
We believe Jesus Christ’s return is imminent, and will be visible and personal.
ETERNITY
We believe that true believers at death enter eternal bliss and joy and that unbelievers at death enter eternal misery.
CHRISTIAN RESPONSIBILITY
We believe that all believers should be devoted to the Lord in Bible study, prayer, church fellowship, faithful giving,
Swiftness and missions.
